May Week(s) 2 (and 3): Last Hurrah Before Revision

Last week was the last week of actual classes, so everything was pretty much winding down. This week is revision week, so probably there will be no postings since I am holed up in my room studying for my ridiculously difficult essay exams which will commence next week. Last week, though, we had a sort of last hurrah before revision on Thursday night. A big group of us went to the opening of the new Star Trek movie and then to RockSoc's 80s night. What a blast. The funniest part of the night was the fact that Charmaine and I dressed up for 80s night, but had to do so before going to the movie, since there would be no time to change. As a result, we went to go see Star Trek dressed like this: Somehow, I always end up looking the most ridiculous, but no one should be surprised by that. What a time! The movie was fantastic, though, and reminded me how much I love Star Trek. This week I have been using the earlier Star Trek movies as a reward for getting studying done... I know, nerd-a-licious! I can't help it! :) 80s RockSoc was pretty fab as well, and Adam made us some delicious cheesy potato wedges when we got back. I took pretty much the entire weekend off from studying, but have been working hard on my study schedule the last few days. Hopefully, I will be able to stay focused for the next couple of weeks. My first exam (for Political Theory of War and Peace) is on the 21st and then my other exam (for Politics and State Formation in the Middle East) is on the 26th... which is sad times, since it is my birthday. The good news is that in the evening we are having a foam fight and then a party, so it should be an excellent birthday nonetheless. Pictures will be posted for sure! Well, I suppose I had better get back to studying... sigh. Have a fantastic week! - Sylvia
