Hey everybody! So, I have successfully made it through week one of exams. It was surprising fun-filled. Another of the many traditions here at St. Andrews is that when you finish your final exam of your time here, your friends come and meet you when you get out of the exam and soak you with water. 4 of my 5 flatmates finished their last exams this week, so we had a lot of fun coordinating and executing the soakings. I had my first exam on Thursday, which went okay. Three essays in three hours, very long and dull. I feel like I did my best, though, and I certainly passed, so all is well. I have another one on Tuesday that I should be revising for, but nevermind. Friday was an excellent day all around. I took the entire day off from studying because it was absolutely beautiful! We got up in the morning to go soak Jen after her last exam, and then we went and did a pier jump,

which was freezing but really fun.

Later that afternoon, Connie, Charmaine, Becky, and I went out to East Sands and modeled the St. Andrews gowns (used for ceremonial events) before they sell them back. This is how a third-year arts student (such as myself) is supposed to wear the gown.

There's a different way for every year. I also gave jumping lessons.

:) In the early evening, we had a barbeque on the beach (this is a very common activity for Albanians, as we like to call ourselves) and then we went out to celebrate everyone being done with their degree (apart from me).

It was a lovely day all around. Too bad I had to spend the weekend revising. :( Anyway, that's pretty much all the excitement for the week. I'll post the soaking photos momentarily. Wish me luck on my last exam! Love, Sylvia
